Angus Wall started up the original AWOL Tattoos in Ennis, County Clare in the mid 1990s. In 2004 Angus moved to Canada to further his tattooing career where he remained for 7 years. On his return to Ireland in 2011, AWOL Galway was founded with his sister Áine (a professional body piercer). Nestled in Newtownsmith between Born and Sally Longs, AWOL is conveniently located in the middle of Galway city just off the infamous bustling Shop Street. Since then AWOL has gone from strength to strength offering all styles of tattooing and professional piercing.
AWOL's diverse and award winning team of artists are inspired by both modern and traditional design styles. Our piercers are meticulous in their approach and trained by Aine, who has over 20 years experience.
We provide a safe and hygienic environment for all of our clients here at AWOL Tattoos. We offer both appointment based and walk in services 7 days a week.
